Transfers

Put the right calls straight through

Some calls need a person. JobsAnswered can put them through to you, your office or an engineer, using rules you set by job type, time of day and who's working.

When calls get transferred

  • The caller asks for a person and a message won't do.
  • The call is urgent under your rules.
  • An existing customer needs to talk to someone, if you want that.
  • The receptionist can't answer and it needs a person now.

A heads-up before you answer

Before the caller is connected, you hear a one-line summary: who it is, where, and what it's about. No picking up cold.

If you can't answer

The caller hears a short apology and is told their details have been sent urgently. You get the job as an urgent text straight away. A missed transfer never means a lost customer.

Questions

Can different calls go to different people?
Yes. On the Office plan you can route by job type, area and time, with multiple escalation numbers.
Do sales calls get put through?
No. Sales and marketing calls are filtered and never transferred.

Every call answered. Every job caught.
