Questions trades ask us
Short, straight answers. Anything else, ask us and we'll get back to you within 48 hours. Customers get a reply within 60 minutes.
Getting started
Is there a setup fee?
No. We write your greeting, set up your jobs, areas and emergency rules, and test it with you. It costs nothing to get started.
How long does setup take?
A 15-minute call with us, then we build it. Most businesses are answering calls the same week.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number. You switch on call divert so the calls you miss come to us, and you can switch it off at any time.
Do I need to learn any software?
No. Every job arrives as one text with a tap-to-call number. There's a dashboard if you want it, but you never have to open it. If you want something changed, tell us and we do it.
Can I hear it first?
Yes. Ask for a demo and we'll text you a private link. You talk to the receptionist in your browser as if you were a customer, then see the text you'd get.
Pricing and plans
How much is it?
Reception is £149 a month and Office is £199 a month. No setup fee, no VAT added and no long contract.
What's the difference between Reception and Office?
Reception answers your calls and texts you every job. Office does all of that and also books simple jobs into your diary, sends calls to the right engineer, recognises returning customers and texts you a summary of the day.
How many calls does that cover?
Reception includes 300 minutes of answered calls a month and Office includes 600. Most enquiries take a couple of minutes, so that's well over a hundred calls. We tell you well before you get close and never add charges without asking.
Do I pay for the texts?
No. Job texts, photo links and booking confirmations are all included.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. Plans are monthly. If you cancel, your data isn't deleted straight away, so you can export it.
Can I change plan?
Yes, up or down, whenever you like.
Calls and callers
What do callers hear?
A friendly receptionist answering as your business. It asks the right questions for the job, takes their details and tells them you'll be in touch. If asked, it's honest that it's an AI receptionist.
What about calls from friends and family?
Add your personal contacts and their calls skip the receptionist. They hear a short message, can leave you a voicemail, and you get a text. They never use your call minutes.
What happens with urgent jobs?
You set what counts as urgent. Urgent calls can be put straight through to you or texted to you instantly.
What about gas leaks and carbon monoxide?
Callers get fixed, approved wording directing them to the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. The receptionist never diagnoses, gives repair advice or says something is safe.
Can customers send photos?
Yes. After the call they get a text with a link to upload photos of the problem, so you see the job before you ring back.
Support
How do I get hold of you?
Message us and a real person replies within 60 minutes, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Messages outside those hours are answered first thing the next working day. That's on every plan. Not a customer yet? We aim to get back to you within 48 hours.
Who owns my customers' details?
You do. We only use them to run your receptionist. You can download everything or ask us to delete a caller's details at any time.
